Doctor Web family programs virus database
|
|
From the current page you can send an inquiry to the Doctor Web family
programs virus database inquiring by the name of the virus you are
interested in, by the date when it appeared in the main virus base or by the
program version number. To make the inquiry you have to fill in the form
above and press the "Send inquiry" button.
In answer to your inquiry you will receive a table containing the virus
name, the Doctor Web program version number starting from which the virus
was added to the main virus base, and the release date of the version. For
the viruses that are not yet added to the main virus base the number of the
add-on to the base is also indicated.
Above the answer table you will see the number of the
matching virus records found in the virus base. However, modifications of
one and the same virus added to the base on the same date are not
included in this number. That is why the number of the records registered
in the base turns out to be significantly less than the total number
declared by Doctor Web program virus counter.
Notes on filling in the form
- If you indicate a text in the "Virus name" field than only viruses whose
names match the indicated context (independently on its capitalization)
will be picked out. In the answer table of the virus records
the context will be marked red.
- When filling in the date field you should use the following format:
'dd/mm/yyyy'. For example, April 14, 2000 will look like '14/4/2000'.
- When filling in the version fields you can indicate either only the
precedent version number (for example, '4') or the full number (for
example, '4.10').
- If you do not fill in a field it will not be considered during the forming
of the answer. For example, if you do not fill in the right date field but
indicate '16/9/1999' in the left one, then all the viruses added to the main
base after September 16, 1999 will be picked out.
