Doctor Web is up to the mark again!

We've got the results of the latest regular comparative review of antiviruses run by Virus Bulletin, the leading international publication on antivirus security. "DialogueScience" has been participating in this review for more than 6 years. This time we have added another pearl to our collection: the eighth award VB100%.

This is to remind that VB100% award can be won by an antivirus program if both on-demand and on-access scanners in their default settings detect 100% of viruses of the "ItW" (In the Wild) test set, i.e. viruses that can appear in real computer world. There are also viruses stored only in antivirus experts' collections which do not occur "In the Wild", they are divided into three categories for testing - macrocommand, polymorphic and standard.

For the last two years Doctor Web has been winning the VB100% award regularly. But now this is a special success. Doctor Web detected not only 100% of viruses "In the Wild", but was superior in all others categories. The Doctor Web product test results description turned out to be amazingly brief. In fact, in a nutshell it amounted more or less to something like "having detected whatever there was to detect, Doctor Web haven't left much to write about". In the past, Doctor Web achieved the same result (100% for both on-demand and on-access scanning) in September 2001 (see our press-release).
