January 24, 2000 - DialogueScience, the leading developer of antivirus
software in Russia, received a Defense Ministry Compliance Certificate
for Doctor Web (antivirus
scanner), SpIDer Guard
(virus activity monitor) and ADinf (integrity
checker).Certification was performed in accordance with the System of Certification for Information Protection Tools. Our programs passed all certification tests that (i) compared actual and declared functionality, (ii) checked undocumented functions and Y2K compliance.
It is the first time when antivirus programs received a certificate of this nature from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
In December 1999, the State Technical Committee at the President of the Russian Federation prolonged DialogueScience's License for Information Protection Activities (http://www.antivir.ru/images/license2.jpg) till December 4, 2002.
Earlier, DialogueScience received a GOST-R Y2K Compliance Certificate for Doctor Web, SpIDer Guard and ADinf, as well as a State Technical Committee Certificate for Production of the DSAV Antivirus Kit.
Thus, the efficiency and reliability of the leading Russian antivirus programs - Doctor Web, SpIDer Guard, and ADinf - have been proved by the state certification, which can be considered an official recommendation for use to governmental and commercial organizations.
