On June 21 of this year the licence was delivered to A. Polyakov, vice-chief of R&D department, head of Computerising and Innovating department of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation (for complete text see attachment).
This new action of DialogueScience will be presented on July 1 at the X International conference "Applying new technologies in education" (Troitsk, Moscow region), where the representatives of regional computerising centres will participate, by S. Antimonov, director general of DialogueScience, Inc.
On the whole, judging by our last year experience of using antivirus programs with the given licence, we can draw the following conclusion. Providing antivirus defence of the computers used in educational organisations made it possible to reach the several aims. In the first place, by using antivirus programs in schools and institutes where computer viruses are for certain reasons widely spread we have by a certain level limited the total virus spreading in the country. Secondly, by using authorised programs we teach the coming generation to treat intellectual property with respect thus contributing to the process of civilised market forming in this country. And thirdly, antivirus programs by DialogueScience allowed to decrease the damage (including financial losses) caused by possible waste of data and program infected by computer virus attacks. In particular, the much spoken about Win95.CIH virus epidemic (see our press-release # 31 dated April 26, 1999) that took effect on April 26, 1999 and damaged many dozens of thousands of computers did not affect the ones with DialogueScience antivirus kit installed.
