DialogueScience released "Doctor Web for Novell NetWare" program commercial version

Three years ago the developing group with their team leader Igor Daniloff started working on creating a specialised net antivirus program based on the popular Russian antivirus scanner Doctor Web. The first "Doctor Web for Novell NetWare" beta version (DrWebNW) appeared in March, 1997 and thousands of network administrators all over Russia took part in testing it. After thorough fixing and debugging the first Doctor Web for Novell NetWare commercial version became a powerful and convenient instrument of network antivirus protecting on the base of Novell NetWare, and, notes and recommendations from the beta-testers received and taken into consideration, from June 8, 1999 it became available (the program was released under 4.11 version number to keep the habitual correspondence to the version numbers of the other DrWeb32 family programs released simultaneously). Doctor Web for Novell NetWare supports the following features:

scheduled scanning of network server volumes;
"on-demand" scanning of network server volumes upon the Administrator's request;
"on-access" scanning of files that are written to and read from the server;
selection of individual scan objects, such as files, directories and volumes;
flexible manipulation of infected or suspicious files;

Doctor Web for Novell NetWare is one of the DrWeb32 family programs, so it:

uses the common antivirus engine with the other DrWeb32 family programs (in particular, Doctor Web for Windows 95/98/NT). In April, 1999 Doctor Web for Windows 95/98/NT with this engine was awarded "Virus Bulletin 100%" - a prestigious award (see our press-release № 33 dated May 25, 1999);
shares the virus databases with other family members. Virus base adds-on are released weekly and are available freely on DialogueScience's Internet servers.
