In March and April 1999, Virus
Bulletin, a respected international magazine on antivirus
security (published in the UK), tested antivirus scanners offered by the
leading antivirus developers. The magazine runs such comparative reviews
bimonthly. The recent review dealt with antivirus scanners for Windows
98.In latest tests, Doctor Web for Windows 95/98/NT earned the prestigious "Virus Bulletin 100%" award. Our scanner received this prize for achieving 100% detection against the "In the Wild" test-set, i.e. viruses that can be found in the real computer world.
It should also be noted that Doctor Web was able to detect 100% of polymorphic infectors. In polymorphic tests, this result has become traditional for Doctor Web.
The full results will be published in the May issue of Virus Bulletin.
