Dr.Web® for UNIX systems is the most up-to-date anti-viral tool developed to protect both mail and file servers running under Linux, FreeBSD and Solaris (x86) operating systems.
Dr.Web® for Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris (x86) software provides real-time anti-virus protection for mail and Samba file servers, detecting and stopping viruses in both mail traffic and files and compressed files in real time - before they are dropped into the end-user's mail box or put onto the file server. The product consists of a daemon module (DrWebD) communicating with filters specially designed to check mail handled by such agents as Sendmail, QMail, Postfix, Communigate Pro, Zmailer, Courrer, Exim and Samba file server.
Besides the daemon module the product also includes a command-line anti-virus on-demand scanner which can be used to scan local, network amd removable drives for viruses out of the UNIX environment.
In year 2002 Dr.Web® for Linux was chosen by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation to be integrated into the self-developed operating system MSVS which is intended to replace Microsoft-based OS on most computers of the Russian Army (see a detailed information on our site).
