Dr.Web Dr.Web for NetWare is started on the server as an NLM module under Novell NetWare versions 3.xx, 4.xx and 5.00. Its powerful heuristic analyzer easily traps known as well as hitherto-unknown viruses. It automatically scans the data incoming to the server or outgoing from the server to the local disks of workstations. Dr.Web for NetWare periodically checks the server disks for virus infection. It checks all remote volumes, remote directories, and files in remote directories.

The menu system of Dr.Web for NetWare is flexible enough to create complicated checking schedules for scanning the server directories for infection with known and unknown viruses. Schedule can be specified for conducting checks at night, on weekend days, holidays, any day of a week or month, and in any month of a year.

For checking files in real time, Dr.Web utilizes dynamic scanning of data transmitted from local stations to the server and vice versa.

Depending on the operation parameter settings, Dr.Web for NetWare will kill known viruses in files, delete infected files, deny access to files, or rewrite files to a predefined directory not accessible to ordinary users. The last function is specifically designed so that the system administrator can analyze an infected file for revealing the causes that induced changes or transmit the infected file to DialogueScience.

Dr.Web for NetWare is efficient in trapping viruses in network volumes and directories, suppresses the proliferation of viruses in networks, and automatically restores (cures) infected files.

Dr.Web for NetWare supports interface in English, Russian and German.
