ADinf32 (Advanced Diskinfoscope), is a
unique and powerful disk integrity checker. ADinf keeps a strict control
over all vital areasof your hard disk that are vulnerable to virus
attacks. It inspects a hard disk and analyses its file system by reading
disk sectors directly, without calls to the operating system. This
technique allows ADinf to detect any infector, even a stealth virus. Such
a strategy does not allow stealth virus to dodge detection and ensures a
high scanning rate. It checks for changes in size and cyclic redundancy
checksum of files, creation, deletion, renaming of files, creation and
deletion of directories, appearance of new bad clusters, protects boot
sectors, and thus guarantees the safety and integrity of information in
your disk(s).
Its pleasing user interface, easily customizable menu system, high
scanning speed, and high detection reliability make ADinf32 an
indispensable tool for daily checking. When run jointly with the scanner
Dr. Web, the integrity checker ADinf32 is helpful in restricting the
checks only to changed files, thereby increasing the scanning rate whilst
retaining high detection reliability.
ADinf32 runs on IBM-compatibles equipped with from one to four hard disks
and one or two floppy drives. It was tested under Microsoft Windows
95/98/NT.
